Historically, DeLorean had an alleged production run of 9,350 vehicles in the 1980’s. Our Alpha5 production plan offers a wink to the past, while understanding that limiting production over the planned 6-year production run for this new DeLorean icon will assist our future owners with the best possible residual value proposition

WHAT IS A DIGITAL-TWIN AVATAR

To enable a DeLorean Exchange and DeLorean Flex reservations, DeLorean deployed the power of blockchain as underlying technology. This allowed us to create a literal digital twin to the future physical Alpha5 in the form of an avatar. In this first reservation of production slots, the Alpha5 avatar will show as a transparent vehicle with a specific production slot, as no final colors and options have been chosen. At a future date, when colors and options have been chosen, the Digital-Twin avatar will be updated with the actual selections made and will reflect your future physical Alpha5 complete with the VIN number of that vehicle.

HOW DO I ORDER AN ALPHA5 WHEN NO PRODUCTION SLOTS REMAIN AVAILABLE

Step 1 – Become an Alphas Club member

Step 2 – Purchase a specific Digital-Twin avatar tied to a numbered production slot on the DeLorean Exchange from the Alphas Club member community starting October 15th.

I PURCHASED MY DIGITAL-TWIN AVATAR AND RANDOMIZED PRODUCTION SLOT, BUT I DO NOT SEE MY EXACT PRODUCTION NUMBER

Between the opening of purchasing Digital-Twin avatars on September 30th and 24 hours before opening the DeLorean Exchange on October 15th, the exact production slot number will remain hidden. All owners of Digital-Twin avatars with unknown production slots will receive their exact randomized production slot number on October 14th

IS THE PRODUCTION SLOT NUMBER THE SAME AS THE FINAL DIGITS OF MY VIN NUMBER ON THE ALPHA5

DeLorean seeks to retain parity between the production slot number and the final four (4) digits of the vehicle’s VIN number. This is not guaranteed at this moment, and we will advise should we deviate from this intent.

With DeLorean Flex reservations, you can sell or trade your Digital-Twin avatar with a specific production slot on the DeLorean exchange with other Alphas Club members.

CAN I PURCHASE MORE THAN ONE (1) DIGITAL-TWIN AVATAR PRIOR TO OCTOBER 15TH

No, DeLorean will only allow one (1) person to own one (1) Digital-Twin avatar.

DeLorean will reserve the right to annul transactions should non-compliance to this rule be detected.

CAN I PURCHASE MORE THAN ONE (1) DIGITAL-TWIN AVATAR WITH A SPECIFIC PRODUCTION SLOT AFTER THE LAUNCH OF THE DELOREAN EXCHANGE ON OCTOBER 15TH

No, DeLorean will only allow one (1) person to own one (1) avatar linked to one (1) production slot. DeLorean will reserve the right to annul transactions should non-compliance to this rule be detected.

WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO SELECT COLORS AND OPTIONS FOR MY ALPHA5

6 months prior to the start of production, the owner of that production slot will be invited to select their colors, options etc. and specify their future Alpha5 exactly to their liking. DeLorean will request a non-refundable $5,000 deposit to customize the Alpha5.

A new Digital-Twin avatar to your future Alpha5 will be send to your digital wallet reflecting the final specifications of your vehicle.

HOW WILL MY INVESTMENTS IN THE PURCHASE OF MY AVATAR / RANDOMIZED PRODUCTION SLOT ($2,500) AND CUSTOMIZATION ($5,000) OF MY ALPHA5 BE REFLECTED IN THE FINAL PRICE

At delivery of your Alpha5, your $7,500 investment will be reflected in the final purchase price.

WILL I STILL BE ABLE TO TRADE MY DIGITAL-TWIN AVATAR AND PRODUCTION SLOT AFTER I CONFIGURED THE VEHICLE

Yes, your reservation (configured or not) remains tradeable on the DeLorean Exchange until you take delivery of the vehicle.

WHEN WILL I GET MY ALPHA5

DeLorean will inform production slot reservation holders during 2023 in what timeframe they could expect to receive their Alpha5 based on their production slot number. No retail deliveries are currently expected before late 2024.

WHAT IS THE PRICE OF THE ALPHA5

DeLorean will communicate retail pricing when the engineering and sourcing has been completed on the Alpha5. We expect to announce retail pricing late 2023

WHAT ARE THE FINAL SPECIFICATIONS AND OPTIONS AVAILABLE ON THE ALPHA5

DeLorean will update specifications and options when engineering and sourcing has been completed on the Alpha5. We expect to add more details in 2023. See Specs

WILL THE ALPHA5 BE AVAILABLE IN OTHER MARKETS THAN NORTH AMERICA.

DeLorean plans to offer the Alpha5 in North America, select markets in South America, Europe, select markets in the Middle East and select markets in Asia.

The DeLorean website will start showing these networks when available.

WHO WILL DELIVER AND SERVICE THE ALPHA5

DeLorean will introduce Delivery and Service networks as we get closer to retail deliveries.

AFTER DELIVERY, WILL THERE BE A ‘NO SALE’ PERIOD ON MY ALPHA5

No, DeLorean believes you are the owner of your Alpha5, and you should be in complete control. Be advised that cross border sales will invalidate any remaining warranties on that specific vehicle.

RESELLING YOUR ALPHA5 AND YOUR DIGITAL-TWIN AVATAR

Should you decide to resell your Alpha5, DeLorean will assign your Digital-Twin avatar to the new owner when it is made aware of that transaction.

RETIRING YOUR ALPHA5 AND YOUR DIGITAL-TWIN AVATAR

Should your Alpha5 be retired, DeLorean will annul your Digital-Twin avatar when it is made aware of that circumstance.

WILL THE ALPHA5 BE AVAILABLE IN RIGHT HAND DRIVE (RHD)

DeLorean does not plan to offer the Alpha5 in RHD configuration.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE ALPHA5 PLASMATAIL

DeLorean plans to bring this vehicle to production. More details to come in 2023.
